What we saw
Stravaya's founders have spent many years in the field, across the whole of the work: cyber security and the infrastructure beneath it; application, cloud and network security; governance, risk and compliance; and the management of the programmes and projects that bring them together. They have done this work from the inside and as advisers, in many sectors and markets.
The same pattern returned each time. Every framework asked for much the same controls, each in its own words, so teams rebuilt the same evidence again and again.
The work fell on the few people who were meant to be growing the business. And too often it ended at the certificate, rather than at a business that was safer.
That breadth is what our advisory practice draws on. When a control reaches into the network, the cloud, an application or a supplier, the people advising you have done that work themselves.
What we set out to do
Take that weight off leadership, without taking the decisions away from them. Senior advisory that answers to your board. Products that do the work once: a library that reads each framework and finds the common controls between them, and a workspace where evidence is gathered once and judged against each requirement.
The software prepares. People decide.
The name
Stravaya joins two words. Sträva, from Swedish, means to strive; it is also the brace, the diagonal strut that holds a structure steady under load. Āya, from Sanskrit, means arrival and gain.
Together: the striving that arrives. Effort that keeps the structure steady, and reaches where it set out to go. stra-VAA-ya
The mark
Three layers, pointing up. The layers are the foundation: the security and compliance work we take on, so your leadership does not have to. The direction is your growth.
Our line says the same: secure the business, focus on growth.
Who we work with
Growing organisations in any market, at the point where security becomes a question their customers, boards and regulators ask.
And non-profit organisations, which face the same threats with fewer resources. To them, our advisory is offered pro bono.
